Purpose & Overview
Law Enforcement Exploring is the preeminent career orientation and experience program for young people contemplating a career in law enforcement or a related field in the criminal justice system. Its mission is to offer young adults, 14 years old, have completed the eighth grade and not yet reached 19 years old, a personal awareness of the criminal justice system through training, practical experiences, competition, and other activities.
Eligibility
- Youth 14-19 years of age.
- Youth must maintain a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.0 or higher.
- Must be of good moral character
- Must be a resident of and/or attend one of the City of Miami Gardens’ schools.
- A $25 a year registration fee must be paid on acceptance into the program, which is non-refundable.
