1. What kinds of crimes are considered property crimes?

All thefts, Criminal Mischief's and Commercial/ Residential Burglaries.

2. How can I get a copy of my police report?

You can get a copy of your police report by responding to our Records Unit, located in the police headquarters building located adjacent to City Hall at 18611 N.W. 27 Avenue. They are open Monday through Thursday, 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

3. When will a detective contact me?

If not contacted immediately, it typically takes 3 to 5 business days for the report to reach the Property Crimes Unit.

4. If I discover later that I had additional property taken, is it too late to add it to the report?

You can get an additional property form from the desk officer in the police lobby, fill it out and return it to the desk officer.

5. How can I find out who the detective assigned to my case is?

You can call the Investigations Division at 305-474-1420 and provide either your name or the case number.
