Every Monday | 12 PM - 1 PM
Meals will be distributed at the following locations:

Meals available for children ages 18 years old and under (up to 12 meals per child). Child/children must be present to receive the meals. If child/children are not present, parents may pick up the meals by bringing a birth certificate or student I.D. Parents may also bring a report card or access the parent/student school portal to confirm the age of their child/children.

Hard Rock Stadium Expands COVID-19 Testing Criteria
People of all ages may be tested and do not need to be exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms. Testing is available 9AM - 5PM, 7 days a week, with a maximum of 750 tests performed per day. No appointment is needed.
City of Miami Gardens Parks To Remain Closed
The City of Miami Gardens’ Parks will remain closed until further notice. Resumption of normal services and operations will be done in a phased-approach based on a consistent decline in the number of positive cases in our community per CDC guidelines. The City’s re-opening strategy will be premised on our ability to safeguard everyone, placing a premium on the safety and well-being of our Residents and broader community.

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY LAUNCHES COVID-19 HOME TESTING FOR SOME RESIDENTS
Seniors and adults, 18 years and older with disabilities, can get tested for Coronavirus (COVID-19) through Miami-Dade County Home Testing program. Individuals must be exhibiting symptoms and are required to make an appointment to receive the test at home.

HARD ROCK STADIUM EXPANDS COVID-19 TESTING. PEOPLE OF ALL AGES CAN RECEIVE CORONAVIRUS TEST AT THIS LOCATION.
Hard Rock Stadium is now testing people of all ages showing Coronavirus (COVID-19) symptoms. They are also testing anyone who believes they were in close contact with someone else who has tested positive, whether they are showing symptoms or not. An appointment is not needed to get tested at Hard Rock Stadium.

CITY OF MIAMI GARDENS IMPLEMENTS ADDITIONAL MEASURES TO SLOW THE SPREAD OF COVID-19.
Face Masks Now Required in Grocery Stores, Convenience Stores, Pharmacies, Retail Food Facilities and Restaurants, and while Performing Construction Activities on Job Sites.
In the continued effort to minimize the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19), effective April 11, 2020 at 12:00 a.m., the City of Miami Gardens requires everyone including employees, customers, visitors and persons providing food delivery services within the above establishments, as well as workers on active construction sites to wear face masks.
For purposes of this order, a Mask means a form of covering of the nose and mouth and shall include a face mask, homemade mask, or other cloth covering.

Safety is everyone’s responsibility! All Residents are urged to stay inside unless you need to conduct limited essential business.
As Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to ravage our community, the City of Miami Gardens is implementing additional restrictions to protect our Residents from this unusual virus.
Effective immediately:
A curfew is in effect for everyone from 10PM to 5AM daily.
Miami Gardens Police Officers will be deployed across central points in the community to maintain order and enforce the curfew.
Gatherings of more than five (5) people are prohibited.
Everyone can do their part to minimize the spread of the virus. Please report gatherings of more than five (5) people as well as non-essential buildings and businesses that remain open to Miami Gardens Police at (305) 474-MGPD (6473). Miami-Dade County Order 10-20 Limits Public Gathering to No More Than Ten (10) Persons. The Coronavirus (COVID-19) global pandemic continues to impact our daily lives and the way we are accustomed to doing things. In the continued effort to promote social distancing, and to minimize the spread of the virus please be advised of the following: On Tuesday, March 23, 2020, Miami-Dade County issued an Order that no group of ten (10) or more individuals shall gather on a public street, alley, public way, sidewalk or government facility open to the public in Miami-Dade County.
The following entities are exempt from the Order:
Federal, state or local government employees, or contractors acting on the behalf of such entities, who are providing services in any public street, alley, sidewalk or public way that requires the presence of a group of ten (10) or more individuals.
Any roadways interior to Port Miami or any airport.
Individuals traveling by car, bus, truck, train, automated people mover, mass transit or other powered vehicle, or while waiting at any bus stop, Metromover or Metrorail station.
Individuals responding to an emergency.
Residents are encouraged to observe the CDC’s guidance on social distancing, and are urged to remain home other than to engage in essential activities.

Effective Monday, March 23, 2020, at 9AM, Hard Rock Stadium will be a COVID-19 Mobile Testing Site for Seniors 65 years or older, First Responders, and Healthcare Providers. Individuals who are 65 years of age or older must exhibit COVID-19 symptoms to be tested. Pre-screening will be conducted to determine if you are eligible to receive the test. First Responders and Healthcare Providers do not have to have any symptoms to receive the COVID-19 test.

Florida Small Business Emergency Bridge Loan Program
The application period for the recently activated Florida Small Business Emergency Bridge Loan Program opened Tuesday for companies whose cash flows have been negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
With both local and national governments placing restrictions on gatherings, and even implementing curfews in an effort to stop the spread of the novel coronavirus, small businesses across sectors including hospitality, retail, transportation and logistics have steep drops in sales in recent days.
But through May 8, small business owners with two (2) to 100 employees can apply for the short-term interest-free loans of up to $50,000. Up to $50 million has been allocated for the program, according to an announcement from Gov. Ron DeSantis.
The Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) will administer the loans in partnership with the Florida Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network and Florida First Capital Finance Corp. The loans are interest-free for up to one year and designed to bridge the gap in either federal U.S. Small Business Administration loans or commercially available loans.
To qualify, businesses must have been established before March 9 and be able to demonstrate the impact that the coronavirus has had on their cash flows.Businesses with questions about the program can please email the Florida Biz or call (866) 737-7232. The City of Miami Gardens continues to monitor Coronavirus (COVID-19) and its impact on our community, county and state.
In an abundance of caution, please be advised that effective Wednesday, March 18, 2020 across Miami-Dade County all bars, restaurants, health clubs, gyms, night clubs, auditoriums and theaters are required to close to the public until further notice. Restaurants will be permitted to continue delivery and takeout services only.
Residents are reminded to stay alert and continue to practice proactive preventative measures to minimize the spread of the virus.

The City of Miami Gardens continues to monitor the latest developments regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19). In light of the President’s declaration of a National Emergency and the closure of Miami-Dade County Public Schools, please be aware of the following additional measures:
CITY OF MIAMI GARDENS AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS AND SPRING BREAK CAMPS
New guidance released today recommends limiting public gatherings to a maximum of ten (10) people. Therefore, the City of Miami Gardens will suspend all After School Programs and Spring Break Camps until further notice.
CITY OF MIAMI GARDENS POLICE DEPARTMENT
MGPD will increase police visibility to deter crime and aggressively enforce the Miami-Dade County Juvenile Curfew Ordinance. People of all ages are encouraged to practice social distancing and stay indoors. Miami-Dade County has ordered all restaurants, bars and nightclubs to close no later than 11PM.
CITY OF MIAMI GARDENS BUILDING DEPARTMENT
Expired permits will be extended for an additional thirty (30) days without penalty. The Unsafe Structures Hearing scheduled for Thursday, March 26, 2020 will be postponed until further notice.
CITY OF MIAMI GARDENS CODE COMPLIANCE DEPARTMENT
The Special Masters Hearing scheduled for Wednesday, March 25, 2020 will be postponed until further notice. Cancellation notices will be sent to all who were scheduled to appear. All Code Compliance inspections will be suspended until further notice. Current violation notices will NOT escalate and fines will NOT be accrued during this period. The City Council meeting scheduled for Wednesday, March 25, 2020 will be canceled. All City of Miami Gardens Advisory Boards, Committees, and Commissions public meetings and hearings will be postponed until further notice.

On March 11, 2020, at 10:48 PM, Mayor Oliver Gilbert signed a local state of emergency for the City of Miami Gardens due to Coronavirus (COVID-19).After much consideration and in an abundance of caution please be aware of the following impact on City events, and parks and recreation programs.
CITY OF MIAMI GARDENS SENIOR PROGRAMS: All senior programs are canceled until further notice.
CITY OF MIAMI GARDENS ADULT AND YOUTH PROGRAMS: All Adult and Youth Programs are suspended until April 30th.
CITY OF MIAMI GARDENS COMMUNITY EVENTS: All City Events for the months of March and April are canceled.
CITY OF MIAMI GARDENS EVENT SPACE RENTALS: All reservations for the months of April and May will be rescheduled for later dates if practical. If not practical, they will be canceled. At this time we will not accept future reservations. Reservations beyond May will be reviewed at a later date.
CITY OF MIAMI GARDENS SPRING BREAK CAMPS: Spring Break Camps will be operational during the week of March 23 - 27 at the following locations:
AJ King Park, Carol City Park, Norwood Park and Rolling Oaks Park. This is subject to change based on impending decisions made by the Miami-Dade County Public School System. Please contact the Parks and Recreation Department at 305-622-8080 for information.
