2023-2024 Open Enrollment -Dates to be announced
Applications for the 2024 Program Year will be available ONLY via the online application portal. At that time, the online application portal will also become available.
*If you were not assisted in the 2023 program year, you must re-apply during the 2023-2024 application period.
Please read instructions CAREFULLY to ensure you complete the correct application and follow the instructions throughout the application portal provided through Neighborly.

PLEASE NOTE: You will be required to upload documents when applying. You will be contacted by an application processor and given instructions to upload documents, when your application is being processed. You will be able to save your progress and return to your application as needed. Once your application has been submitted, your application Status In Neighborly will change from “Application in Progress” to “Application Submitted/Under Review”. Once your application has been reviewed, you will be contacted by a case manager and given instructions about the status of your application. If any documentation was determined to be missing from what you submitted, those will be requested. It is important to only include current and good contact information in your application. The primary form of communication will be via email, but you may also be contacted by phone call and/or text message.
This grant program is for residents that are the age of 62 years and older. Please click here to apply once the program reopens.

This program is offered as a 0% interest, 5 year forgivable loan program.
The goal of the Miami Gardens Weatherization Program is to provide comprehensive mitigation and hardening and energy-efficiency assistance to eligible owner-occupied properties. This program is particularly created to assist the elderly, differently-abled and those with children under the age of 12. To qualify applicants must meet all of the requirements.

As an Entitlement City under the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), the City of Miami Gardens Community Service Department recognizes the need to supplement social service programs intended for low-to-moderate income residents.

My Safe FL Home
The My Safe Florida Home Program is now open and accepting applications for free hurricane home inspections. Owners of single-family residential Florida property may apply for a free home hurricane inspection. The owner will receive an inspection report and recommended improvements. Eligible applicants may then apply for program grant money for home strengthening improvements.
