The City of Miami Gardens continues to support its residents and businesses by continuously improving and maintaining our roadway infrastructure. The Vista Verde Community has been experiencing flooding over the past years. Therefore, the Department of Public Works is embarking on the Vista Verde Phase #4 Project which is envisioned to minimize the issue of flooding in this community. Local road and drainage improvements are necessary to reduce flooding and improve the quality of stormwater runoff in the Vista Verde Community.
This project will consist of the construction of an on-site French Drain System that will retain normal stormwater runoff within the project area and filter the captured water. The project will also reduce flooding due to excessive rain and hurricane storms. The project is anticipated to commence February 2021 and be completed within six (6) months at an estimated cost of $1,701,380.
